Cataract surgery after lasik

Cataract surgery after lasik

I am 66 years old and had lasik on both eyes about 8 years ago. Monovision with left eye for reading and right eye for distance.  Worked fine until about a year ago.  Found out that my cataracts have dramatically gotten worse and now need cataract surgery in both eyes.
Dr. (who did lasik) recommends mono again with left eye for reading and right eye for distance since I did well with this following lasik.
Will this work out fine? Anyone tried this?
Based on friends experience seems like ReStor might be a better option since I did have to use cheaters in low light and most of the time for reading in the past.
Any advice/comments will be appreciated.
Gerald

Monovision should work.  You might also consider Crystalens.  Search the forum for ReStor.
