Cataract surgery resulting in white spots flashing

by Brenda215, Jul 22, 2009 09:08PM
I had cataract surgery yesterday, 7/21. Ever since, I've been having white spots flashing in the lower right corner of my right eye that was operated on, and it also seems blurry on that lower side. What does that mean? Will it go away? I can't read without being disturbed by it. It's better when I close that eye or cover it; then the flashing spots minimize, so I just covered the eye with a patch for now.  I saw the dr. today and he said to call him immediately in the morning if the white spots don't go away; then I'd have to see a retina specialist right away. I'm very uneasy about this. Could I lose my eyesight?
