Cataract surgery yesterday--looks like lens is floating above center?

by liberrian, Jun 06, 2007 12:00AM
Had cataract surgery yesterday. When I removed the bandage to start my drops this am, as I look in the mirror, it appears like the lens is not centered in my eye, but is rather somehow above center.

What could cause this and how anxious should I be?

I have an appt. tomorrow, but it is really freaking me out.

Call your surgeon's office today for some reassurance. A dislocated IOL is not common but if it does reoccur it can be repositioned. Sometimes minor things from surgery (like a small air bubble in the anterior chamber) can cause your symptom.
