Cause of eye problems

I have been having eye pressure, excruciating headaches, burning/pain, halos around objects and brighter colors, light sensitivity, and when I close my eyes, they spasm/twitch really fast on the sides.  A week ago, my left pupil suddenly became dilated and was about two times bigger than the right eye.  This lasted for about five hours and went back to normal.  I have seen two different optometrists to check for glaucoma or retinal detachment.  I went at the end of October and my vision was 20/15 and 20/20 with each eye, and he checked for glaucoma or any signs of complications.  Then, I saw another optometrist in the middle of November as an emergency appointment, but he just checked my eyes due to pain, burning, halos, and light sensitivity.  The pressure for my right eye was 15 and the pressure for my left eye was 16.  He wondered if there was any trouble with my thyroid, but I told him no.  I had two different locations do labwork to check my thyroid and the results came back normal each time.  I had my thyroid checked last year, this year in September, and just recently in November.  I also had an MRI done on my brain, and those results came back normal as well.  At this point, I'm not sure what else to do.  If you have any advice, please let me know.  Thank you very much!

You need a gonioscopic examination of the drainage mechanism of your eye to positively rule out angle closure glaucoma. Attacks of this type of glaucoma can blind you in a matter of hours and may come on suddenly producing the symptoms you describe. Between attacks, the pressure may be normal. See an ophthalmologist, an Eye MD, as soon as you can. You can find one at www.aao.org.
