Cause of perfect vision?

Cause of perfect vision?

When I underwent strabismus surgery 15 years ago I remember that after the surgery I had perfect vision for a couple of weeks or so I don't remember.I was so excited in my mind I thought it would last forever and I never asked the doctor why this occurred. So my question is why the perfect vision after a strabismus surgery?Does it happen to everyone and why does it go away after a while?

Dear dp33,

I am not sure why strabismus surgery would alter the refraction of the eye.

I'm wondering has this happened to anyone else?I mean this effect only lasted a couple of weeks and them my vision went back to what it was but for those 2 weeks I saw perfect.I forgot to ask my strabismus surgeon back then if he could explain it.
