Central serous choroidopathy

Central serous choroidopathy

I have been diagnosed with central serous choroidopathy.   I've been reading that CSC is associated with high cortisol levels.  Will strength training and cardio workouts hinder my recover due to higher cortisol output?  Will one cup of coffee a day have an adverse effect on the cortisol level?  I was also reading a study that showed aspirin has sped up the recovery of CSC.  Have you heard of this study?   http://www.medical-hypotheses.com/article/S0306-9877(09)00224-2/abstract

Thanks!

You can take apirin if you want to (low dose) but make sure it is cleared with your doctor.  There is no strong evidence that it helps but the downside seems minimal.  Regarding working out, I have no strong opinion one way or another.  If you work out very seriously with mega weights, my personal opinion would be to tone it down quite a bit until things get better but again there is absolutely no proof that it will help in any way.  Just a guess based on reasonable thinking.  Talk to your retinal specialist - that's going to be your best place for help here.

I've read that coffee raises the cortisol levels in your body.  Do you think one cup a day would have any adverse effects on the CSR recovery?

Thanks!
