Chalazion

I had a chalazion lanced inside my upper eyelid and it left a small lump on the outside of the lid.  I was told that this
was scar tissue resulting from incision of the chalazion.  Will this lump or scar tissue every go away?  JH

An incision for a chalazion should not give you a new scar - that is not normal.  If anything it should make the chalazion look better or sometimes there may be some residual chalazion for several weeks.  But a new scar - I don't understand that so call your doctor.  Hopefully it will fade nicely with time.
