Chosing a DSEAK Surgeon

I know the questions that need to be answsered when choosing a surgeon.  However, just how does a patient go about getting ?truthful" answers.  My opthalmologist (who isn't a DSEAK surgeon) gave me a choice of 2 that he thought were the best in Houston Texas. Just how can I go about finding out his surgical results (read that sucess) and skill in the OR?  A surgeon isn't going to tell me he has a lousy track record.  Thank you for answering my question.  I would tell you the surgeon's name that I choose, but I don't know if that is permissable on this site.

I would trust the choice of your personal doctor.  It is in his best interest for you to have the best possible result.  There is no personal gain for anyone here except you- the doctors all just want the best result for your eyes.  The only way you can find out for yourself who is best is to ask those who are qualified to know like your doctor or call another reputable ophthalmology practice in town and ask who is the best person for DSAEK.
