Cloudiness in Vision

Dr.,

I've been having a problem with a cloud that surfaced about 6 months ago that's causing various light refraction problems. I suspect it's bacterial keratisis, but basic ophthalmological testing have produced inconclusive results. Within the past few weeks, when looking up into the sky with natural light, I can see small single-celled microbes swimming in my vision. They are not floaters, as I can see those as well. The microbes are clear, very small and have cilia propelling them. What should be done to correct this problem?

It could be coincidental or related to inflammation in the eye related to the sinus infection.

Dr. O,

Thanks for your help. I would have one further question for you. I recently had sinus surgery to correct a blockage of my nasal passageway. Since that surgery, my vision has slowly begun to improve. Cloudiness at night is not as bad it was one was, but I still notice opaqueness around lights. How do you explain the link between chronic rhinosinusitis and cloudy vision? Should I be concerned with further ophthalmological examination?

This is normal.  You are seeing the white blood cells in your retinal vessels.
