Cloudy contacts

I am 63 and wear gas permeable contact lenses.  No matter what I use to clean them, they get cloudy very quickly and by evening a film is over most of the lens.  I take them out and wear my bifocals (which aren't great either as I get dry eyes).  Is there any solution to my eyes making the contacts cloudy?  My optometrist says no, but I am desperate!!

Seek a second opinion from an Eye MD ophthalmologist. Find one at www.aao.org

When you see the Eye MD tell them you are worried about having GPC or giant papillary conjunctivitis and ask they to flip your upper lid to look for GPC.

Use google and search giant papillary conjunctivitis  then use Google IMAGES and search the same and look at the pictures of what the upper inner eyelid looks like.

This would be the most common cause of your problem.
