Cold Water Shock
Hi Everyone,
12 months ago I spent 10 minutes in freezing water after exercising and a sauna (an ice bath)
2 minutes after getting out I felt a strange pressure in my head and my vision seemed 'different.'
I have suffered a lightheaded feeling everyday ever since. It seems to be related to my vision and is most intense around bright lights (supermarkets etc).
I've had MRI's done on my brain, heart and blood flow - everything seems fine.
I'm thinking I might have damaged my optic nerve in the freezing water.
Does this sound logical to anyone?

I appreciate any comments you have. Thanks.

It sounds illogical to me but the symptom is disturbing. I do not think you froze your optic nerve.  See a neuro ophthalmologist. Find one at www.aao.org
