Color blindness / 2 colors in one eye

My daughter a little over 2 years old and she has learned just as much as the other children her age. She knows shapes, can count to 15, knows objects in books, and animals. However, she can not tell me what color an object is.
She is very inconsistant with colors never saying the same thing when talking about one object. The only color that she knows is black. She will get it right every time.

She has light brown eyes but her left eye is partially dark brown. Almost 1/2 of her eye is dark brown and the other 1/2 light brown. Is it possible that becasue the pigment is different in that one eye that she see's different color out of it?  Is it possible that she is confused on colors because she see's them differently? Could this cause partial or total color blindneess? I know that she is not fully color blind because I did the test plates on line. She could see the circle, square, etc... so abviously she can see color but is it possible that she is partial color blind or is it possible that the eye issue could alter how she see's color from that eye? Over all I think that she has an issue, I guess she could just be "not getting it" yet, but I don't feel that is the case? Can you help me decide if I am over concerned or is it possible for the pigment issue to cause problems for my little girl?

Iris color is not related to color vision.

However, I would take her to an ophthalmologist to make sure that the darker area of her iris does not represent a growth on her iris.

Color blindness is much less common in females than males. In any event, there is nothing that can be done about it and color blind individuals are minimally affected in everyday life.
