Color differences between each eye only in bright light

I have done a search and read a lot of posts about color perception differences between one's two eyes.  But I didn't find anything exactly like my situation.

I notice that one eye sees colors a little brighter, or more saturated, than the other.  But I only notice the difference in bright sunlight, or sometimes in a brightly lit room (but not all the time).  For example, pinkish-gray concrete will look pinkish in one eye but mostly grey in the other.  But on a cloudy day, it looks the same in both eyes.

I worry about Optic Neuritis.  But with ON, would the color differences between the eyes always be there?  Also, I have had 2 normal VEP tests and a normal color vision test.

If you've had 2 VEP and color test and they are normal its not likely at all to be ON.

Cataracts or macular disease could cause color differences or it could just represent differences in the strength of the two eyes (just like one arm is usuaslly stronger than the other).
