~Complications due to Retinitis Pigmentosa~

I have retinitis pigmentosa and I am presently being taken off of Diamox which was to help with Cystoid Macula Edema.  I am going to be off of it for 6 weeks due to the side effects of the drug as well as to see how my eyes will adjust doing this time frame.  I would like to know what other treatment options I have.  Diamox is really causing a lot of problems.  Also what can be done about glare and bright spots I am seeing?  These symptoms along with other visual problems I am experiencing are really getting to me as well as interfering with my job productivity.  Anything POSITIVE you can send my way will be greatly appreciated.
