Computer Glasses/Eye Strain

by janedoe1969, Mar 20, 2008 06:47PM
HI.  I've just been reading about computer vision syndrome (CVS).   I have quite a bit of eye strain after being on the computer.  It said this:  " What can you do? For one thing, obtaining customized computer glasses. These special-purpose glasses are prescribed specifically to reduce eyestrain and to give you the most comfortable vision at your computer".
I do not wear glasses but am wondering if there are non-prescription glasses that might help me.  Thanks for your input.

This is my personal opinion but I think CVS is a love-child of the optometric profession to sell more glasses.

There are certain instances in which "Computer Glasses" will be helpful but that is primarily for middle age people wearing bifocal type glasses or late 30's patients that are pre-presbyopic.
