Contact Lense strengths

Hi,

I wonder if someone could tell me what strengths contact lenses go up to. I have contact lenses which are -5.0 for both eyes. Can they be made in for example -8.0 etc or do you then have to resort to wearing glasses?

Acuvue Oasys contacts come in a -12; other brands may come in a higher minus power.  Some brands offer custom-made contacts for people with high myopia and astigmatism.  If you google "buy contacts online", you can check out which brands come in which powers.
