Contact Lenses

by ClaudiaBW, Jul 19, 2009 03:02PM
I try to only wear my contact lenses as little as possible, maybe 6-8 hours a day or if I know I'm not going out at all, I'll skip wearing my contact lenses for the day and I make sure they get cleaned daily regardless of wearing them or not.  Recently I gave my eyes a "break" for a couple of days, after the second day, I wore my contact lenses as usual and by the end of the day my eyes were red and watery almost as if they were infected.  I decided to throw them away immediately and gave my eyes a break for a week.  My eyes seemed a little better although they were still a little red and watery.  I bought a new case for my contact lenses, opened up a new set, put them in my eyes and by the end of the day they did the same thing!!!  I've been wearing the same brand for the last 4 years.  I'm not sure what's going on.  Suggestions???

Any one wearing contacts should be under the care of an optometrist or ophthalmologist. Stop wearing the contacts and see one of those two types of contact fitter
