For the past few months I have had this terrible build up of white stuff on my contacts. I have been wearing contact lenses for 6 years and have never had this type of problem before. I have tried changing contact solution to no avail. The build up is white and will not come off with solution. It is gradually getting worse and now sometimes I can only wear the contacts for one day before they are no good anymore. If it helps the brand I wear is Accuvue Advance for Astigmatism. Thanks for your help.
You likely have giant papillary conjunctivitis (GPS) from the contacts. See an ophthalmologist and tell them you think you have GPC from your contacts. Diagnosis is made by flipping the upper lid and looking at the back surface of the lid.
Go to Google IMAGES type that term in and look at what the lid looks like.
