Contact problems

by Jane18, Nov 08, 2007 12:39PM
I recently reordered my contacts without a check-up.  I got the exact same prescription and kind (focus night and day) but when I put them in I was unable to see as well.  The difference was very obvious.  I checked with my optometrist and he sent me another pair and the problem was the same, so I know it wasn't just a faulty box of contacts.  Even more odd is the fact that I am not seeing as well out of my old pair of contacts now (I had one pair left) even though they were fine before.  It is a more subtle difference than the new pairs but my nearsightedness is definitely more pronounced, especially in my right eye which has always been a little worse than the left but not enough to get different prescriptions for each eye.  I have no idea what is up.  Please help.

Jane, sorry but you need to have your eyes checked by the ophthalmologist at the office.  It sounds like your prescription changed a little, but I cannot diabnose you from afar.  Good Luck.

Thanks, already scheduled.  Do you have any idea why contacts of supposedly the same prescription and kind would effect my vision differently?
