Cornea Edema

Hello,
Does anyone know why one may have cornea edema 3 months after cateract surgery?

1.  Wait and hope for recovery using Muro 128 hypertonic saline eye drops and ointment.
2. If the cornea fails to clear a DSEAK operation where the inner lining of the cornea is replaced with donor tissue. It replaces a corneal transplant.

1. The cornea as weak (due to corneal dystrophy) and failed due to the stress of uncomplicated surgery.
2. The cornea was weak or normal but was damaged by a difficult cataract operation (often the case with "hard" cataract, small pupil or with complications like vitreous loss.
