Corneal neovascularization?

Corneal neovascularization?

I've been wearing rigid gas permeable contact lenses for about 5 years now, and recently (about 3 months ago? I'm not quite sure), my eyes have been turning very red after wearing my contacts lenses for around 6-7 hours. They don't hurt but they do feel a bit tired. Around that time I had switched from using separate a cleaner and conditioner to using Boston's Simplus cleaner (2 in 1).

I've been looking at stuff online and I think it is corneal neovascularization. The thing I find strange is that I don't sleep with my contacts on nor do I wear them for extended periods of time (if anything I wear them less now). I went to the optometrist that prescribed my lenses and she gave me the Ciba Clean Care solution cleaner to use since the cleaner I was using didn't seem to work. I was wondering if that would help and what I should do from here. I have an appointment with my doctor later this week.

Thanks in advance.

I'm sorry but I don't have a lot to add.  You would be unable to tell if you had neovascularization of cornea.  The doctor needs to look at you with the slit lamp to be able to tell what's going on.  It could be that you need to switch to a different solution or a different contact lens or a different fit or perhaps you have dry eyes that need to be addressed.  There are just to many possible causes, that I don't know where to begin.  Your optometrist or ophthalmologist should be able to help you.  Good Luck.
