Corneal scarring

Hi,

I have been wearing contact lenses for the last 15 years. 2 weeks ago I developed bacterial infection in my left eye. It was diagnosed to be Gram-negative bacilli.

I have been putting eye drops for the last 2 weeks and my doc says that infection has healed. However it has left scars on the cornea. At the moment I have faded vision in my left eye. My doctor said its about 60% vision

1. Does cornea scar reduce over time? Will my vision improve?
2. Is there a treatment for the scar?

Thanks and Regards,
Suman

Thanks doctor.

Unfortunately the scar is in the center of the cornea :(

Request your help on few more questions
1. Is there a possibility of the scar reducing over time?
2. Where can I read more about corneal translants? it sounds very scary :(

The vision will not return to normal if the scan in near the center. You may need a corneal transplant.
