Could it be my eye or Glaucoma

For more than 4 years I have had daily forehead pain over my right eye, not a headache, but a pain.  I have had every treatment, acupuncture, visiting the pain clinic, various eye tests, all normal.  This past week I switched from glasses  to contact lenses (the right being toric as I have astigmatism).  For the first time in those years I have had no pain oer that eye!  Why is this?  Is it coincidental?  Do I need to return to the optician for a more thorough check of my eye as my father has glaucoma and I am worried this might be the start of it?  Why should contacts take away this pain when no other option has worked?  Is it just a coincidence?  Are the contacts better at correcting astigmatism than glasses?

I recently switched from glasses to contact lenses and noticed that my entire face and head seemed to relax substantially - the muscles throughout my head and face relaxed.  I did not experience this when I was wearing glasses.

I think this because contact lenses correct your vision more acutely by reducing eye strain directly at the source - right at the eye level.  Consequently, your eye muscles do not need to work as much and are less tense and the secondary muscles in your face, which may not have a direct impact on your vision but may experience some strain when your eye muscles are strained, also relax and do not feel tense.  Conversely, when wearing glasses, your eye muscles are operating as they always have but your vision is corrected through the glasses, but the muscles themselves do not get as much of a break.  This is just my lay opinion.
