Crystalens gives double vision

Crystalens gives double vision

I had my first cataract done in my left eye 2 years ago and it is great. It is an ordinary lens so I can't see up close with it.
I had my right inplanted 2 1/2 weeks ago with a Crystalens L161AO. Power +15.0D. I am  not able to say in optical terms what the result is but I can describe it. Long distance is nothing like as good as my left eye. If I look at a crescent moon at night I the see the first crescent ok then beside it and to the right I see a blurred image of another crescent and then to the right of that yet another blurred crescent and a lot of other light glare.  Mid distance I see a second image again shifted the the right like an a hazy overlay. The contrast does not seem anything like as good as my left eye. Maybe because of the second image to the right, Close up my vision is very poor again with an overlay of a second image to the right, I cannot read the normal print in the newspaper but I can read the larger print.
My eye doctor says it is fine and that I need to wait a bit and practice reading.I think there is a serious problem with the double vision aspect. Either something happened during the surgery or some other complication has occurred. The vision is my right eye is not even as good as it was before and I can see distance and near better with my old glasses. Something has to be wrong there!
I should add that when looking at street lamps they are perfectly clear with my left eye and with my right eye they are a blob of light with a line of light crossing the line of the lamp at 45 degs extending probably half the height of the lamp pole.
I have suffered from some double vision related to both eyes and have 3 degs of prism in my glasses. I feel I can overcome this as when first looking at an  object my eyes focus and produce a single image but if I stare at the object the images start to separate. Having had prism in my eyeglasses for 4o years has in  my opinion trained my eyes to look apart and I need to retrain them to look together. Any way this is not the main problem.
I am a healthy 67years old man.. Any advice would be very gratefully received,

An LI61AO is not the Crystalens.  The current model is AT50AO.  If the the double vision is monocular then you have residual astigmatism and/or a refractive error.  You will need glasses or surgery to correct the prism.

Thank you for you reply. You are right about the lens. I accidentally put down the details of the lens fitted in my left eye in 2008. I am now searching for the card with the Crystalens details which has mysteriously vanished for the moment. As soon as I have it to hand I will reply. What sort of surgery is required to correct prism? Regarding the monocular double vision, what if anything can be done to correct the residual astigmatism and/or refractive error?. I don't know what a refractive error is? Could it have been caused during the Crystalens insertion?
Thanks again
Roger

I have found the IOL Card. The lens is a Crystalens AT-50AO Diopter 18.25 Optic Dia 5.0mm Overall Dia 11.5mm. So I do have the latest model fitted. Is this the same as the HD model?
The surgeon has arranged for me to see a optical neurologist for a second opinion and to check if there is any muscular imbalance whatever that might be.
Listening out for you.
Thanks
Roger
