I forgot to say that there is hope for my eye to improve. I recently had a vitrectomy and vision is better and the retina surgeon says he expects it to improve more.

I was unlucky to have complications with one Crystalens implanted almost a year ago.  I have not done the other eye yet.  All this time I was able to work (at a computer) and drive by using only the other eye with a contact lens for distance and reading glasses over that.  But I did have to stop driving at night.  Hope this helps and that your husband has a better experience.

We routinely do the second eye two weeks later.  This of course depends on how the first eye went and if there were any complications.
