Cyclodiode therapy

Cyclodiode therapy

Doctor ,
My father had a successful eye surgery in his left eye for  cataract recently. He had glaucoma also in the same eye which made the operation a bit complex but all went well.
In the right eye he had a similar operation earlier but that was unsuccessful .
He lost his vision almost completely after the operation .
Since 5 yrs ,just after the operation , he has pain , discharge in right eye .he is under medication of Lotepred ,Travatran ,Alphagan and misopt eye drops in rt. eye .Now doctor is suggesting The CYCLODIODE therapy for his rt . eye .Please tell me if that therapy would futher distroy his rt eye and shut all hopes for any future hopes of betterment of his rt . eye .I have read somewhere that this therapy is applicable for blind glaucamatous eyes only ...so will it add to the further distruction of optic nerves and what is the side effect of such a therapy....Please suggest as early as possible .
