DRY EYE

01/31/08 I HAD LASIK SURGERY TO CORRECT VISION .  IA AM 65 YRS. OLD AND AM EXPERIENCING VERY DRY EYES. I AM ON VIGAMOX DROPS 4X A DAY AND SYSTANE AS NEEDED AND STILL MOSTLY AT NIGHT SEVERE DRY EYES. I AM ALSO PUTTING RESTATIS DROPS TWICE A DAY.  THE CENTER WHERE I AM PROCEDURE DONE WANTS TO DO PLUGS AND I AM VERY NERVOUS ABOUT IT BECAUSE OF MY AGE WILL IT HELP OR HINDER.

Tear duct plugs are no big deal. No shots, usually takes me about 3 minutes to put both eyes in, rarely any pain at all. No sweat.

Use the search and archive feature here and read all the other things you can do for dry eyes.
