DRY EYE

01/31/08 I HAD LASIK SURGERY TO CORRECT VISION .  IA AM 65 YRS. OLD AND AM EXPERIENCING VERY DRY EYES. I AM ON VIGAMOX DROPS 4X A DAY AND SYSTANE AS NEEDED AND STILL MOSTLY AT NIGHT SEVERE DRY EYES. I AM ALSO PUTTING RESTATIS DROPS TWICE A DAY.  THE CENTER WHERE I AM PROCEDURE DONE WANTS TO DO PLUGS AND I AM VERY NERVOUS ABOUT IT BECAUSE OF MY AGE WILL IT HELP OR HINDER.

Tear duct plugs are no big deal. No shots, usually takes me about 3 minutes to put both eyes in, rarely any pain at all. No sweat.
