Daily eye pain after the strabismus surgery?

Hello. I've had my 1st concomitant strabismus surgery in 2010, which was a 4mm recession and 8 mm resection in only one eye, and then the second one in 2015, which was 5mm recession in another eye. My cosmetic results are great and I see 3d, only have trouble&discomfort with a double vision when I spend a day in front of the computer. BUT almost every day I have a pain in the eye that I got a surgery first time. It feels like an extreme tension pain that makes my eye hurt badly, it's an extreme discomfort and is very annoying, and it gives me headaches very often. Does anyone know if the operated muscle could be causing that pain? Could anything be done to ease the pain at all? Glasses? Prisms? Another surgery? This is really bothering me!

First of all this far out after your surgery the surgery itself should not cause problems. I would strongly suggest you see an Eye MD ophthalmologist specializing in "Strabismus"  they are sometimes called pediatric ophthalmologists but almost all treat adults. Before any drops are put in I would recommend your ask for a refraction using a "fogging push plus" technique. Then after your eyes are dilated a "post cylcloplegic refraction"  It is highly likely you are farsighted (hyperopic) and need glasses at least for near work like reading and computer use. Most esotrophic patients are hyperopic. This is not an uncommon problem. It does require the two types of glasses tests before and after dilation.

Thank you Doctor! Any recommendations for a good strabismus doctor in Minnesota?

I don't know any personally but you could not go wrong at Mayo's or U of MN Dept of Ophthalmology
Thank you so much for your help!
Best of luck Nick
