Dark spot getting larger-Central blurry spot

Dark spot getting larger-Central blurry spot

Like most of the posting, I too have had a dark spot near central to northeast part of my right eye.  I've had it for years, and have had testing done with no findings.  I have also had a brain MRI because along with the spots, I've had earache, some dizzinessand slight nerve type pain all on my right side of head, MRI was showed nothing.  What really bothers me is the spot in my eye, it is getting larger.  I notice it more when I'm reading.  The central part of a word I am focusing on, is blurry.  Not sure if it's the dark spot causing the blurriness.  The spot moves as I move my eye.  I have closed my eye and can draw the spot and surround "artery looking" lines.  I am noticing a similar dark smaller spot in my left eye, just in the last few weeks.  I am 48, female, don't smoke or drink or take any prescribed drugs or otherwise.  I do work on a computer most of day, and read a lot day and night.  I have a lot of stress, and I notice a slight pressure in my head occasionally.  My last eye doctor visit was last week.  They did not see anything, but suggested I see an opthamologst.  What do I ask them to test for.  Is this all my head?

I would strongly suggest you see a retina MD ophthalmologist. You may need some of the following tests: Amsler grid, visual field, macular OCT and/or fluorosceine angiography.

Please do this soon. Find an eye MD at www.aao.org

you description suggests problems in or near the macula.
