Daugher scratched her eye

My 7 year old daughter scratched her eye above the pupil the doctor says the scratch is large in size.. They put ointment in her eye and did not patch it up.. She is on motrin for pain and said she will be better in 3 days.. Is there any eye drops or medication I can give her in her eye to help the healing process and for the pain.. ???

       whilst you have checked with your doctor and it may all be ok...please get a good second opinion from an opthalmolgist.very important you do this sooner than later.

Patches are not used anymore for scratches. Sometimes bandage contact lens are used. Assuming she saw a MD Eye physician ophthalmologist call their office.

If you saw a non-MD non-physician optometrist then get to see a Eye MD ASAP  Find one at www.aao.org
