Decompression sickness

What exactly is decompression sickness, and how can it affect the eyes?  What type of tests are performed by an eye doctor for this?  Thanks.

I am no expert on decompression sickness but this is a condition due to sudden changes in the atmospheric pressure.  This most commonly occurs in divers if they come up to the surface to fast.  An ophthalmologist would perform a complete examination including evaluation of the retina and blood vessels.  It is possible someone could suffer a vascular insult or injury to the eye as a result of this but this could be picked up on a retinal examination.
