Difference between Corneal Opacity and Corneal Scar

Hello - Could an expert please describe to me medically the difference between a 'corneal opacity' and a 'corneal scar' ?? -- Thanx !

In general, a corneal scar results from infection, surgery, or trauma.  A corneal opacity is a more general term, which could refer to a scar, dystrophy, edema, etc:  anything which interferes with corneal clarity.
