Difference in eye shape

Difference in eye shape

For as long as I can remember I have has very aysymmetrical eyes. It doesn't cause any problem with sight, as my prescriptions in both eyes have only ever been slightly different, and are the same at the moment. But it causes problems with my appearance. I hate to have photos taken of me face on and I worry to what extent people notice the difference.
I don't know whether it's the eyeball itself that is different, the positioning of the eye within the eyesocket, or something to do with the eyelid. I suspect it it a problem with the lower lid on my left eye. Would surgery be able to easily correct this?
I would like some opinions if possible, so I will add a photo of my eyes. I'd like to know what exactly the problem is, if it is just the eyelid or something more? Sometimes I have worried it is something to do with the eyeball also, as in some photos the eyes don't seem to be looking at the same thing, but I am unsure of this.

Good picture. Your left lower lid is "retracted" and it shows more "white" (sclera) below the iris than the other eye.

You should see a Eye MD ophthalmologist oculoplastic surgeon. There is an operation called recessing the lower lid retractors that would improve the situation.

Fine one near you at www.aao.org
