Do I risk aggrevating a PVD with exercise?

Hi all,

Thanks in advance for your help with this, I'll try to keep it short.

I recently posted re problems with posterior vitreous detachment. I went to see an eye surgeon who confirmed PVD in my left eye but not my right, which was strange as my right eye was where the flashing lights and debris in my vision started. Anyway, he advised just to live life normally and let him know of changes in my vision.

I enjoy weight training as it helps a lot with my depression, but I have noticed that when my heart rate and blood pressure rise while weight training that I see pulsing shapes (floaters maybe?) in my left eye in time with my heartbeat. Especially if I'm lying prone (bench press etc.). Is this something to be concerned about and should I lessen the intensity at the gym? Or is it OK to ignore this as it's normal with PVD? I'm worried I could aggrevate the condition. It stops as my heart rate returns to normal.

Thanks again, any advise is very much appreciated.

Pulsation of vision with the pulse is more likely in people with high blood pressure,  very slow heart rates and can in rare instances be a sign of problems with heart, blood vessels, brain.   So see your ophthalmologist to discuss and also your family MD for a physical exam.   /Ask about the weights also.
