Do traumatic cataracts cause crosslinking of len proteins?

If not, what is the exact cause of traumatic cataracts? I can only find information saying it is caused by blunt trauma, but I am more curious about the specifics. What exactly changes in the lens that causes opacification?

Thanks

The soluble  protein in the nucleus and cortex turn into insoluble, opaque protein.
