Double vision following Lasik

Double vision following Lasik

Posted By J Cord on April 21, 1999 at 09:25:11
I am a forty two year old male in excellent health. Ten months ago I had lasik for mild nearsightedness. My left eye achieved 20/20 within days but my right eye only got to 20/50. I had a retreat and achieved 20/30 but had a slight degree of multiple imaging or ghost image overlapping. I have had another retreatment to correct this but now although my vision is sharper I now have a wide degree of separation between these images and the secondary image is quite pronounced visible even in broad daylight with both eyes open. During my one week follow up the doctor could bring the images together for me when I looked through the Phoropter(?). His comment is that It's still to early to tell why my complaint (over lapping images) actually worsened after treatment, but I think that the treatment was botched. Does this sound likely?
