It just means that your retina is not totally healthy and rightly so since you have had a very, very severe case of endophthalmitis.  You may only gain count fingers to 20/400 vision at best after all you have been through.  Your retina and basically all the systems of the eye seem to have taken a hit from the severe problems you have been through.  Please post again if you have more questions.  Basically this rpe granularity issue is probable one of about 10 issues your eye has going on.  Sorry for all  your suffering.

I am sorry to have sent the same question. The one I thought I sent was attched to your reply on rpe granularity. I have been told that I must have a filtering procedure done soon. My eye pressure remains in the mid 40 range. I am using drops but am unable to use beta-blockers due to adverse effects on asthma. My family MD did blood workk and my serum potassium was very low. He put me on potassium supplements and says it is the Trusopt depleting my potassium because it is a diuretic. I recently had ann iridotomy in my right eye (have 2 in left) to prevent angle closure.Instead of pupillary block in left eye (which was treated) I now have reverse pupillary block. pigmentary glaucoma in both eyes and according to HVF test have had a major loss in vision in past 3 months. Which filtering procedure do you think best? I noticed you hhave an Eye Institute, are you taking new patients and if I send you a copy of my records, would you be willing to see me? I do have insurance and the means to pay the difference, I really need help that I am not getting in the small town in which I live. I am sorry to keep bothering you but your answers have beeen very helpful and I am grateful!

Topcat,

You may want to go to a large university eye center for an evaluation (one with many specilists and resources). Where are you located?

You can also see the top rated places here. There are many other excellent private or msaller centers in the US, but this is definitely a strong starting part.

Good luck and god bless.

I'm sorry but you need someone experienced with shunt procedures for glaucoma.  Not my specialty.
