Drusen

I am 29yrs old and I have no family history of A.M.D. I have been told by my optician I have drusen in my periferal. Although this is not effecting my vision, all of the information I am reading takes my back to A.M.D and I am fully aware of the outcome.
Can you let me know if drusen could relate to something else other than M.D in younger generations?

No,  it is only a sign.  At 29 the juvenile forms of macular degeneration would have resulted in some loss of vision.  Many people with drusen never loose vision.  You just need to be followed and it progresses take some of the recommended vitamins and luetin.

So, either way, the end result will be the same? Drusen is only a symptom of Macular degeneration?
