Dusen or Histo spots

HI
I am 34 years old and recently been seen by a new eye care specialist. He noticed white spots on my retina and referred me to a specialist. They called the spots 'drusen spots' though I have no family history of macular degeneration or stargardts disease. Though, when I was a child I caught a strange fungas that can cause blindness. I was wondering if these spots could be scarring from this event?
thanks

Histo spots and drusen don't look alike.

You should ask the ophthalmologist what kind of drusen they are:  hard drusen  usually not a thing to worry about   optic nerve drusen: usually do not cause problems.

Soft drusen: this may lead to macular degeneration. If these type use the search feature and read about what can be done to reduce risk of age related ARMD
