Dysphotopsia

dysphotopsia are unwanted light reflexes (arcs, rays, starburts, ghosting, etc) arising from bio-optical systems, in the context of this forum from an intraocular lens in the eye (IOL)  They can occur with any IOL but are more common in "premium IOLs"  like toric or multifocal/accommodating IOLs than single vision IOLs (monofocal IOLs).  Dr. Kutryb and I have written extensively on this.
