EMERGENCY- Need Doctor's thoughts

I just went to optometrist and told her about problem with left eye and she told me to go to the Emergency room asap.  My husband and just lost our business and have very little money and no insurance.  Anyway, I have been having a veil that comes over my left eye in the middle of the night.  It has occured about 40 times over a 8 month period.  It is when it is dark but soon as I turn on the light I can see out of that eye.  I have had a Deep Vein Thrombosis in the past (8 years ago when I was pregnant).  I really need help and live in San Francisco.

Thank you and appreciate your time and advice.  I was hoping it was you who would write back.  I just moved from Maryland and am very familiar with the Wilmer Eye Institute.  I will go to the hospital.  

I feel so awful not having insurance.  I have always been an upstanding citizen and losing our business has just put us in an awful state.
