EYE MUSCLE SURGERY

Hi Doc..thanks for your reply..however, since you mentioned "A blind Eye is like a boat without a rudder. It won't stay on course. In an adult it usually drifts OUT over a period of years. "

I am already 27 years old and never had any surgery before (not even cataract surgery that my eye developed over the years) would you still advice me to have eye muscle surgery? how long it usually take to drifts outward again after surgery?

I am really self concoius about my condition and even though I know for a fact that I cannot see out of my right eye, i am considering surgery for cosmetic purpose.

Please revert Doc I badly needed an advice

Dr. Hagan will be back on duty tomorrow but I can try to help.

If you can accept the fact that your eye will more than likely continue to lose straightness over time, and it is very unpredicatable how long that might be, then go on and consider eye muscle surgery if it is that apparent and bothersome.

I did not see your thread and I don't know why your eye is blind but if you are self conscious have your muscle surgery done. It usually lasts for a few years and sometimes forever.

I had a retina detachment -- and then muscle surgery twice to
align the eye.  Now--I have double vision --Can an eye that
has succumbed to scar tissue in the muscle be helped??
