Endurance athlete with High IOP

HI all,i
I was recently diagnosed with High IOP (unilateral).  My OP has measured 45,47 and 48 in rt eye, all normal in left eye.  I have since seen an opthamologist who has prescribed pressure lowering meds.  The meds work, but I am otherwise healthy (with no family history) and do not want to be on meds forever.

I noticed the eye problem after long bike rides (in aero position on bike).  It went on this way for a few months, only after long bike rides.  While training for a second Ironman, it became an everyday problem (halos, cloudy vision, no pain).  I still think the problem is somehow connected to my position on the bike.  My blood pressure is also normal after 5-6 hour rides.

My dr has ruled out pigmentary dispersion.  Is it possible that this is a neuro issues?  Should I go see another dr?

Help?

I have never seen or read about a unilateral problem as you describe associated with long bike rides.  Get a second opinion from a glaucoma specialist.
