Error in Cataract Operation

Error in Cataract Operation

I was operated for cataract of the right eye recently. The next day, I did not see clearly from the eye and the vision was hazy. The doctor called it Edema which would be cured within the next 3 days. However, even after so many visits every 3 to 5 days and medication with several eye drops my vision did not improve. After 3 weeks I was practically blind with very poor vision.
I changed the clinic. The new examination by two doctors opined that lot of debris has been left uncleared by the previous doctors. This resulted in high pressure (40 Hg), inflammation of cornea, optic nerves and the retina. I was operated as an emergency. Now my vision has  been restored to a good extent but the haziness persists. Now I am scared to decide whether to go for operation of the other eye for cataract or not?
Was the first team of doctors responsible for delay in referring me to higher specialists? Have they been negligent in not clearing the eye of all debris after the operation? What precautions I should take at the time of operation of the other eye?

You need to discuss this with your new doctor.
