Everyone should read!

I am absolutely astonished at how many questions there are and how few replies.  OK so most of us got sent here because the forum to ask the experts was full... right.  But why in the world would someone post a question and hope for help from others and then not even read others posts and try to help them.
Now there is no way that I'm trying to sound like a marytr or even call anyone out.  It just blew my mind to see all the questions with so little replies, and in reading some of the posts they would answer each others questions.  Come on guys lets try to support each other, we are all in the same boat or we wouldn't be here. I hope that no-one is offended, I just felt like this should be said.

"Come on guys lets try to support each other, we are all in the same boat or we wouldn't be here."

So, how do we support each other? Most Qs posted here are highly specific and cannot be properly answered by laypeople. I wouldn't want to receive advice from someone who has had no ophthalmology training. Would you?

I can reply to a question if and only if it involves the same condition I've dealt with. Otherwise, my reply won't do any good to the poster.

This is why a patient-to-patient forum doesn't work. It should be abolished ASAP.

I think that the patient to patient forum is a great idea.   Even though some of the questions are usually specific medical questions, it doesn't mean that they require specific medical answers.  References to other websites, groups of doctors, specific organizations, sharing resources and knowledge: that's what I thought this area was for.
And while I myself am no doctor I certainly have learned a few things throughout the years, and if people post a question here in the patient forum, I believe that they expect experience based answers.
All I was asking is that this type of knowledge be shared.
