Extremely dry eyes and cyrstal lens

Extremely dry eyes and cyrstal lens

On 30APR, two weeks ago, I had my cataract removed and a crystal lens implant.  I'm 59 and was wearing contacts for distance and over the counter readers.  My vision was very blurry with the contact and have always had extremely dry eyes.  Distance is worse than when I wore my contact and middle vision is very blurry - clear with my reading glasses.  Its very uncomfortable feeling, it feels like a dry dirty contact,  my dr now has me on a routine of eye drops every two hours, but my eye is still very uncomfortable......because of my extremely dry eyes should I have not had the surgury.  I'm suppose to have it on my right eye eventually, but right now, I'm scared its not going to get better.    Appreciate feedbag.  Thanks

It is best to treat severe dry eyes prior to surgery.  At this point,  treatment should make it better.  Also,  consider punctal plugs.
