Eye Bulge & Retinal Hole

Hi,
In the few weeks I have noticed my left eye bulge noticeably in comparison to my right eye. Two days ago I was also told that I had a retinal hole in that eye (left). Are these interrelated? Or could the bulging eye be a completely different issue I need to talk to my doctor about?
