Eye Condition

Dear Sir,
I have consulted one opthalmologist for glare and halos one week back. He examined my eyes and also conducted refraction. The report is as follows :

Right Eye
Sph. = -0.50
Cyl. = -0.75
Axis = 90°
Vn = 6/6

Left Eye
Sph. = -0.50
Cyl. = -0.75
Axis = 90°
Vn = 6/6

Then he suggested me to wear glasses to reduce the glare and halos. Then I started wearing glasses for last 1 week. But I have not seen anything changed or improved better. I would like to know from you sir, is glasses help to reduce glare ? What my eye report says about my eye's health. You please suggest me what should I do ? I await for your valuable reply sir...........

That RX shows you have a small amount of myopia and astigmatism and that with the correction you see 20/20 or 6/6/ metric. It does not say what your vision is without the glasses or anything about the health of your eyes. There are many possible causes for glare and halo including diseases of the cornea, lens, macula.  The glasses are to make you see better. Sometimes they do reduce glare and halos. I suggest you discuss your continuing problems with the ophthalmologist or see a second opinion.
