Eye Floater

by EYE_Q50, Jul 28, 2009 08:55AM
I have floaters in both eyes and i check regularly with my eye MD. Last week i was seeing some transparent floaters in my left eye and i went to check with my eye MD and after looking to my eye ( after eye dilation) he said your eye is fine. He also said "Transparent floaters are not harmful."-----My question Is this true that "Transparent floaters are not harmful" and only black/gray color floaters cause a sign of worry?

Thanks.

Any new floaters can be a problem.  It does not make a difference if they are transparent.
The main thing is to get the eye checked to make sure you do not have a retinal tear which can lead to a retinal detachment.
