Eye Pain

Hello, the other day my eye started to hurt mildly when I blink. Today I woke up and my eye is very sore - a lot sorer than it was the days before this - and hurts quite a lot when I blink or put pressure on the eye. I looked this up and found that it might be a blocked tear duct, but the only thing is, my eyes are not excessively watery at all, they are just like normal. The pain is in the inner right corner of my eye on the lower lashline. What could this be? Should I see my doctor? And are there any pain relievers for this? (Putting hot pad on eye, etc)? Thank you very much.

Hi there!

Cold or warm compresses may help relieve the pain until you can get in to see your doctor. It could be pinkeye, or simply an allergy, but you won't know until you have it looked at. Your eyes are precious, take care of them!
